Illegal Entry Attempt by Chinese Nationals Foiled at Indo-Nepal Border in Bihar

INDO-NEPAL BORDER, BIHAR – Two Chinese nationals, Zhao Jing and FU Cong, hailing from Jiangxi province in China, were arrested at around 8:45 pm on Saturday while attempting to illegally enter India. Their entry occurred near the Indian customs office in Raxaul town, at the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar’s East Champaran district.

The motive behind the illegal entry remains unclear, but suspicions of espionage have arisen among immigration officials. During their interrogation, the duo exhibited peculiar behavior and provided inconsistent and self-contradictory statements, adding to the concerns of potential espionage activities.

Presently, authorities are conducting thorough investigations to understand the motives behind their repeated attempts and have detained the individuals while gathering more information to decide the appropriate legal actions.

The Chinese nationals had made a similar previous unsuccessful attempt on July 2. Despite being released with a warning and advised to obtain valid visas for entry, they persisted in their unlawful efforts. Presently, authorities are conducting thorough investigations to understand the motives behind their repeated attempts and have detained the individuals while gathering more information to decide the appropriate legal actions.
