Demolition of building built by Naidu in Amaravati underway

  • Authorities in Andhra Pradesh Tuesday night began demolition of a building adjacent to former Chief Minister N. ’s residence on the banks of the Krishna river here.
  • Hours after Chief Minister Y. S. ’s first-ever meeting with district collectors and superintendents of police concluded at ‘Praja Vedika’ and called it an illegal building built by his predecessor Naidu, workers began demolition of the same structure.
  • Claiming that the building was constructed by the previous government as per rules and regulations, the opposition party alleged that Reddy ordered its demolition so that Naidu does not get it.
