Japan’s NEC shows Flying Car Hovering Steadily for Minute

  • Japanese electronics maker NEC Corp on Monday revealed a “flying car”, which is a drone-like a machine with four propellers that hovered steadily for about a minute.
  • The test flight reaching to around 3 meters high was held in a gigantic cage, as a safety precaution at a facility at NEC in Abiko, Chiba Prefecture.
  • The Japanese government is behind the flying cars, with the goal of having people zipping around in them by the year the 2030s.
