Microsoft Invests $1 Bn in OpenAI

  • Microsoft on Monday revealed to invest $1 Billion in the AI startup called as the OpenAI, which is a San Francisco based organization of Elon Musk.
  • “Microsoft Corp and OpenAI, two companies, thinking deeply about the role of AI in the world and how to build secure, trustworthy and ethical AI to serve the public, have partnered to further extend Microsoft Azure’s capabilities in large-scale AI systems,” the company said in a statement.
  • It was in the month of October 2015 when the SpaceX founder Elon Musk along with the Altman and some other investors revealed the formation of OpenAI, that led to revenue of more than $1 Billion.
